Mr. Abel Paul Lyimo
Mr. Abel Lyimo holds a Bachelor degree in Economics and Library Science, from Concordia University, Montreal,Canada, and diploma in Marketing from Purdue University, United States.
As an economist and Business Advisor he has over 15 years experience in advising business associations and agribusinesses SME’s including over 10 years experience in managing agricultural projects and agribusinesses. He has worked for the Ministry of Finance, Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA), Techno Serve and USAID DAI PESA project Currently, Mr. Lyimo is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Rural Urban Development Initiatives (RUDI).
RUDI is Local NGO registered in Tanzania and operating all regions Tanzania. RUDI aims at Improving income and employment opportunities for micro-small enterprises (MSEs), including farms, through market links and information, policy change, strengthened associations, business skills training and Associations’ development. Lyimo is founder members of RUDI. Lyimo’s expertise lies in mobilizing, and providing support to associations including organization and formation of business and producer associations, creating and strengthening and formation of business and producer associations, creating and strengthening linkages and assisting associations to identify policy issues which prevent their members from operating efficiently in a free market economy.
